Haven End Sleeps 6/7½, Burnham Overy Staithe

Haven Ends location is rare. As close to the creek as you can get – six steps from your garden lead straight into the creek at Burnham Overy Staithe. And of course the uninterrupted views of the coast cannot be rivalled.

Newly renovated Haven End is one of the few cottages in Burnham Overy Staithe to offer direct, private access to the creek itself. Originally part of the fishing sheds, Haven End is now a delightfully cosy home and beautifully presented. The cottage has a ‘wet’ room with a decked floor and shower which opens onto the garden and is ideal for dealing with drippy wetsuits, wet weather gear, walking boots and wellies. More >

From the hauntingly beautiful coastline to its mellow villages, much of Norfolk remains undiscovered but particularly here, in the heart of the North Norfolk coast.

Dotted with ancient villages, winding waterways and nature reserves the unspoilt North Norfolk countryside still supports many rural industries from a bygone age; reed cutters harvest for thatch in late summer, local fisherman still bring in the renown seafood and traditional market towns thrive with not a high street chain store in sight.

Visit one of the historic houses close by or browse among the diverse market town shops in Holt or Burnham Market. Having explored this scenic coastline with its salt marshes and pine fringed sandy beaches or ambled through the unspoilt rural villages, return to cosy log fires, romantic four poster beds and spectacular views that some of our cottages can offer.

Many of our self-catering properties are ideally suited for short breaks; all are welcoming at any time of year enabling you to escape the everyday and restore your spirits. Settle in front of a log fire for a snug night in or visit one of the many excellent hostelries to sample the congenial atmosphere and dine on local specialities.

North Norfolk offers interest for all seasons - Summer wraps the ancient mellow villages with verdant splendour; in quiet country lanes, verges and hedgerows billow with summer flowers and offer wildlife tranquil refuge - Crisp Autumn days bring a rush of exhilarating sea air laced with the aroma of woodsmoke; cosy inns beckon. In Winter skeins of geese knot the skies echoing their emotive cry; windswept creeks and quiet backwaters offer scenes of solitude and sweeping wild views.
